Canal du Midi
Built under the reign of Louis The Fourteenth, the canal du Midi (Midi waterway)
is the oldest channel of Europe still operative.
The waterway, imagined by engineer Pierre-Paul Riquet, is made of
remarkable works which give it an exceptional patrimonial interest.
Unesco has decided to classify the canal du Midi among the 469 sites
of the World Heritage list.
Music played by the "Oc" band.
